「OPTIMISM」explores the return of "Archival-Futurism", and dystopian themes led by the Avant Apocalypse movement.
The craze for the vintage market among the younger generation reflects the rise of individualism - the loop of trends makes everything to be appreciated again. We believe that this phenomenon is inherently optimistic, and we see looking-back as an act of yearning – thinking about the past can urge us to look forward, reassess where we will be and where the next loop inevitably starts.
The collection go alone with decent cutting, low-key functional details and layered stitching, re-presents basic apparels with independent aesthetics: the iconic 1980s wide-shouldered suit; double-layered trench coat inspired by origami and architecture; Double zip jacket that combines the Kuchofuku air-conditioning garments with the military CWU-45P, etc. These designs embrace uncertainty by eliminating tradition, finding the balance between retro and futuristic.
